Bad weather was once again approached by award winning director Quinton Lavery, after the runaway success of the Toe Vind Ek Jou music video, to work together again on what would be another iconic South African music video for local talent, Jesse Clegg.
After receiving the amazing artistic and visual treatment from Quinton and his team, we began designing the 3 iconic custom made lighting sculptures that would make up the backdrop of the music video.
The first installation was an array of 3 rectangular frames in a row to play on the viewers depth perception, this depth let us play with different reveal options for the talent and for the frames themselves.
The second was an abstract free hanging installation which created the illusion of an array of floating tubes of light in which the artist could move around in.
The final installation was the iconic origami inspired bird which we lined with our custom LED strip.
All these installations, along with audio playback was handled by our media server solution, giving us complete and flexible control to not only synchronise the entire video but make changes seamlessly on the fly.
