About This Project

Bad Weather had the opportunity to work with one of the most influential and bold artists on the continent, Riky Rick, to help develop and realize the vision for his own ‘CottonFest’.

Imagined from the outset to be a new breed of festival for a discerning and fashion conscience audience, we brought together a top team of professionals from across the creative production industry to bring the idea to life.

Inspired by the challenge to design a stage unique enough to make a statement in the iconic Newtown Train Station, we set out to engineer a solution that would be a visually inspiring and practically dynamic space for 80 musical acts to perform over the course of just one day.

An incredible effort on every technical front created a platform for creative flair and high impact performance. We are especially proud that bespoke visual design incorporating real-time rendered visuals made it onto a festival screen for the FIRST TIME IN AFRICA. We live for this kind of show.
